Abstract

In principle, the starting material for the preparation of fluorides is always HF. It is either used directly for fluorination reactions or it is needed for the preparation of F2 and other fluorinating agents. For many inorganic fluorides, some special procedures have been established for their preparation, nevertheless, a few general reaction types can be derived, which are summarized in Table 4.1.
