About this book
The volume completes the complete critical edition of Schleiermacher’s sermons. It compiles the sermons from Schleiermacher’s final fourteen months of life, and includes, in addition, single items (eleven undated drafts of sermons and the funeral oration for Solger), and concludes with a list of additions and corrections to the previous thirteen volumes of sermons.

Mit ihm liegen nun sämtliche bislang bekannte Predigten Schleiermachers in einer kritischen Edition vor. [...] Die Schleiermacherforschung hat mit der Ausgabe eine Quellenbasis erhalten, an der sie sich wohl noch einige Jahre lang abarbeiten wird. In der wissenschaftlichen Erschließung der Texte und ihrem Gebrauch für die Erforschung Schleiermachers sowie der religiösen Milieus in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts zahlen sich die Mühen der Editionsarbeit erst aus."
