“The good world” is out of fashion in philosophical ethics. The "concrete ethics" of Ludwig Siep orients itself consciously towards a hermeneutics of human religious and cultural traditions as well as it looks for a dialogue with the natural sciences in dealing with the problems of cultural and natural ethics. The present volume discusses Siep's theses, concepts, and model of justification in his examination of central themes of medicine, bioethics and applied ethics.
