Abstract
Ausgehend von den konzeptuellen Arbeitsansätzen der frühen künstlerischen Institutionskritik zeigt der Beitrag beispielhaft, wie Künstler und Künstlerinnen im Kampf um moralische und ethische Fragen im Kunstfeld immer mehr zu tonangebenden kulturpolitischen Akteuren wurden. Als machtvolle Stimmen mit einer eigenen Expertise in identitätspolitischen Debatten richten sie kulturpolitische Entscheidungsprämissen neu aus.
