With this collection of essays and studies, Otto Zwierlein presents the sum of four decades of research in classical literature and philology. Fundamental articles and reviews on Seneca tragicus form the main focus of the first volume, the second volume throws a thematic bridge from the drama and rhetoric of the Greeks, via various areas of Latin literature right across to Late Latin Christian literature and Medieval Latin language and literature.
The collection is completed with several indices, a bibliography from 1965 - 2004 and a list of the theses supervised by Otto Zwierlein.
