Volume1 of this three volume series of textbooks on photogrammetry is dedicated to the fundamentals and standard procedures, both for photogrammetry and for laser scanning that have come to the fore in recent years. Using photogrammetry and laser scanning, it is mainly the position and form of objects that are recorded and modelled. Data capture sensors are fitted to aircraft, and to terrestrial platforms for work in the immediate vicinity. Results from modelling are partly visualized as vector graphics and partly as bit-maps.
