This volume contains Klopstock’s biblical dramas “Der Tod Adams” (The Death of Adam), “Salomo” and “David” from the years 1757, 1764 and 1772 respectively. The critical apparatus includes all extant evidence on the creation and printing of the works, together with the most important accounts of their effects. The Appendix includes an explanatory index of the biblical persons and places.
