About this journal

Why subscribe and read

Novel Superconducting Materials [NSM] is the international journal dedicated to the most important advances in the field of novel superconducting materials. NSM features major developments of structural, electronic, magnetic, chemical, thermodynamic, optical properties, and theoretical modeling of new superconducting materials. For readers provides the central and most authoritative publication in the field of novel superconducting materials providing, through the Open Access Model a timely access to its target audience.
Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Iron-based Superconductors,
  • Organic Superconductors,
  • Carbon-based materials,
  • Chemical Doping Effects on superconductivity,
  • New Materials,
  • Physical and Chemical Properties of New Superconducting Materials,
  • Material synthesis,
  • Heterostructures,
  • Thin Films,
  • Practical Applications.

Why submit

Novel Superconducting Materials [NSM] is attractive to authors due to its fast and comprehensive peer-review. The central goal of NSM is to serve as a broad spectrum platform for exchanging ideas, and to facilitate collaboration among researchers from all over the world. We are guided by prominent scholars in our Advisory Board, and target high quality submissions from productive and published scholars in the field.

Topical Issues:

Long-Term Preservation
De Gruyter has an archiving agreement with Portico to ensure long-term monitoring, archiving, and management of the electronic publications stored on its servers. This means that your digital publications are backed up and distributed to ensure they remain available over the long term.

Your Benefits

The journal Novel superconducting materials has been closed since the beginning of the 2019.

Research on the design and synthesis of new superconductors has been active over the past decade with the discoveries of several new materials such as iron-based superconductors, magnesium diboride, and more recently organic superconductors (e.g., alkali metal intercalated picene) showing that this is a very “hot” field in solid state physics and chemistry. The number of publications about new materials and new phenomena is growing rapidly and Novel Superconducting Materials aims at becoming reference point for novel and important contributions in this field and the primary forum for the researchers working on the topic covered by this publication.
