The monoclinic potassium feldspars are observed in various forms. The habit changes due to the growth temperature can be explained by different growth mechanisms. The application of the Fourier transform method led to six different types. Therefore it is obvious that the tetrahedra framework is built up in different ways. Equilibrium and growth forms were calculated. The latter deviate only slightly from experimentally grown crystals or from natural specimens.
