Jahrbuch Menschenrechte
About this journal
On the basis of an annual thematic focus, the yearbook discusses realisation and deficits of the national, regional and international protection of human rights. Authors from science, politics, the media and from non-governmental organisations analyse up-to-date matters of dispute as well as systematic classifications in general relations regarding human rights. This is complemented by an ongoing reporting about institutional developments of human rights protection. Since their foundation, the International Criminal Court, the UN Human Rights Council or the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights are continuously discussed in the yearbook. It is the yearbook’s aim to contribute substantially to political education in general and to human rights education in particular. Since the second "Jahrbuch Menschenrechte", there is also an annual ongoing index of all topics and countries covered at the end of each volume. This index will transform the yearbook more and more into a compendium over the years.
