Über diese Zeitschrift

The demand for new catalytic and biorelevant processes that can offer solutions for more efficient energy use, organic syntheses, utilization of alternative fuels and manipulation of pathological and disease states is constantly increasing. The elucidation of the reaction paths, intermediates and mechanisms behind the desired reactivity of metal centers in bio/inorganic molecules and materials is absolutely essential and deserves a special scientific platform to be properly addressed. BioInorganic Reaction Mechanisms offers this important platform as the primary specialized international journal in the field of reactions and mechanisms of inorganic and bioinorganic systems. In dealing widely with reactions of metal centers, this quarterly, peer-reviewed journal will accept papers pertaining to the areas of coordination chemistry, organometallic chemistry, main group chemistry and bioinorganic chemistry. It publishes original papers reporting the results of original significant studies in the general area of kinetics and mechanisms of bioinorganic reactions in solution, and also of studies designed to define reaction pathways or mechanisms via detection and characterization of intermediates by spectroscopic or structural means, as well as via utilization of theoretical/computational approaches. Papers dealing with advances in the determination or processing of data pertaining to mechanistic studies are also welcome.

About BIRM – the forum for your specialist studies in the broad field of inorganic and bioinorganic reactions and mechanisms:

BIRM accepts papers pertaining to the areas of coordination chemistry, organometallic chemistry, main group chemistry and bioinorganic chemistry. It publishes papers relating to mechanistic studies in the broadest sense, not solely detailed examinations of reaction kinetics.

The journal publishes both full papers, reporting the results of substantial independent study, short communications, reporting the results of completed studies of lesser scope than full papers, and short topical reviews. Those authors contemplating a review article should contact the editors initially. A size limit will apply to short communications.
