This compendium of ecological clay buildings from antiquity to present day is the first to demonstrate the enormous diversity of this traditional construction method. It also presents various types of clay construction, including mud bricks and packed earth, as well as techniques for constructing walls, arches and so on. An analysis of historical masterpieces, most of which are part of the UNESCO World Heritage List, and the depiction of the most diverse types of clay construction prove that this material still has much to offer to modern architecture.
