About this book
Almost 350,000 Germans emigrated to Brazil between 1824 and 1952. In total, more than 600 German-language newspapers, journals, and almanacs were published during that period. Since 2015, the initiative DOKUMENTE: BR has been analyzing, digitizing, and researching these texts produced in German. The reference work on Brazil’s German-language press is a comprehensive scholarly examination of this extensive corpus.
