Specifically examines the aftermath of Pressburg from December 1805 to May 1806, the unsuccessful peace negotiations of Napoleon with Great Britain and Russia, the Franco-Russian rivalry in the Near East and subsequent war and peace of 1807, and British hostilities in the near east.
