Abstract
The interfacial properties of a series of novel aqueous trisiloxane of the general formula Me3SiOSiMeROSiMe3 [R=(CH2)3N(CH2CH(OH)CH2(OCH2CH2)nOCH3)2 n=1,2] were studied. The physicochemical parameters of these trisiloxane were discussed. These surfactants reduced the equilibrium surface tension of water to a minimum value of approximate 21∼22 mN/m at concentration levels of 10−4 mol·L−1.
