The Law Society of Upper Canada adhered to the traditions of English legal practice and education. In the 1930s and 1940s, however, some of those traditions were challenged in a bitter debate about the nature of legal education in Ontario. This book tells the story of that debate and one of its leading participants, Cecil Augustus Wright.

Kyer C. :
C. Ian Kyer is a distinguished lawyer, historian, and author. For more than 30 years he has practised law in the Faskens firm. He is now legal counsel to RPM Technologies. Ian is also the Senior Director of Content for the Intellectual Property Technology module of Lexis Practice Advisor Canada. He practices corporate/commercial law with an emphasis on information technology contracting.
Bickenbach Jerome :
Jerome E. Bickenbach is a professor of philosophy and Research Chair at Queen's University.
