D.G. MOWATT did his undergraduate and graduate studies in German and Russian at University College, London. From 1953 to 1962 he lectured in the German Department at UCL before accepting a post as Assistant Professor of German at Victoria College, University of Toronto. From 1964 to 1966 he was Associate Professor in the Department of German and General Linguistics. University of Alberta. He is now a Professor of German at the University of Newcastle, Australia.Sacker Hugh :

HUGH SACKER received his MA in German at Cambridge, England, and did further study (PhD) in Switzerland and Germany. After lecturing at University College, London, for two years he accepted the post of Assistant Professor (Visiting) at the University of Chicago. He is at present a Reader at Bedford College, London.
