This volume contains the papers and commentaries presented at the fourth philosophy colloquium at the University of Western Ontario in November 1968. The papers examine, from different points of view, the central problems in the philosophy of action.

Robert W. Binkley (1929-2012) (PH D, University of Minnesota) was a professor emeritus and former assistant chairman of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Western Ontario. He studied under a Fulbright Scholarship at Oxford University in 1956-7, and taught at Duke University for several years.
Bronaugh R.N. :R.N. Bronaugh (PH D, University of Wisconsin), Professor Emeritus of Philosophy, began teaching at the University of Western Ontario in 1962. He has published works in the area of responsibility and freedom.
Marras Ausonio :Ausonio Marras (PH D, Duke University) is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Western Ontario. His main interests are the philosophy of mind, intentionality, and the history of philosophy.
