Verfeinerung der Kristallstruktur von Dicadmiumgermanat Cd2GeO4

Abstract
The structure of dicadmium germanate Cd2GeO4 was refined with diffractometer data corrected for absorption and isotropic extinction effects. The compound crystallizes in the structure type of olivine, space group Pbnm, Z = 4, a = 520.66(7) pm, b = 1114.1(2) pm, c = 657.3(1) pm. This refinement shows that some of the distortions of the coordination polyhedra reported by Belokoneva, Ivanov, Simonov and Belov (1972) are not verified. Our results correspond well to those found in the structures of (Mg, Fe)2SiO4 (Wenk and Raymond, 1973) and γ-Ca2SiO4 (Czaya, 1971).
