Linearer elektrooptischer Tensor des monoklinen Lithiumsulfat-Monohydrats

Abstract
AU components of the linear electrooptic tensor of monoclinic lithium sulfate monohydrate, point group 2, have been determined using measurements of absolute and relative changes in optical wave-path differences. The method employed is also applicable for triclinic crystals of point-group 1. Results: Li2SO4 · H2O exhibits maximum electrooptical effects of only about one third of those to be achieved with KH2PO4.
