The unit cell and space group of gadolinium molybdate and of scandium tungstate

Abstract
Gadolinium molybdate, Gd2(MoO,4)3 belongs to the tetragonal system, with lattice constants a = 10.396 ± 0.006 Å and c = 10.697 ± 0.004 Å The most probable space group is P4/mbm–D4h,,5P4bm–C4v2 or P4b2–D2d7. Scandium tungstate is orthorhombio (pseudo tetragonal), with lattice constants a = 9.596 ± 0.004, b = 13.330 ± 0.003, and c = 9.512 ± 0.004 Å The space group is Pnca–D2h14.
