Abstract

The correspondence between Ludwig Wittgenstein and Moritz Schlick presented in this publication is part of the complete correspondence of Schlick which is intended for publication in the context of the Moritz Schlick Gesamtausgabe (Collected Papers of Moritz Schlick). As explained and illustrated in the following essay, the present publication not only reproduced the complete known and comprehensively commented correspondence between Wittgenstein and Schlick, but complements it with letters from and to Friedrich Waismann and Rudolf Carnap. Only this context enables a broader understanding of the topics and facts addressed in the letters, some of which have be re-dated.
