Pentti Haddington (b. 1970) is a researcher at Universities of Helsinki and Oulu 〈pentti.haddington@oulu.fi〉. His research interests include multimodal interaction analysis, conversation analysis, gesture studies, and interactional linguistics. Maurice Nevile (b. 1964) is a researcher based in Canberra, Australia, and is a Docent at the University of Oulu 〈maurice.nevile@gmail.com〉. His research interests include conversation analysis, ethnomethodology, language and social interaction, and institutional and professional interaction.
