On periodic trajectories in odd-dimensional gene network models

Abstract
We prove a theorem on the existence of periodic trajectories in phase portraits of odd-dimensional nonlinear dynamical systems modelling gene networks regulated by negative feedbacks. Also, we find certain sufficient conditions of the existence of stable cycles there. Some generalizations and applications of these results are given as well.
