Pater Leander Fischer Prize 2016
We would like to encourage authors from all fields of laser medicine and biophotonics to apply for the 2016 Pater Leander Fischer Prize.
The Pater Leander Fischer Prize was first presented in 1990 and is awarded biannually by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Lasermedizin (DGLM) e.V. for outstanding contributions in the field of laser medicine and biophotonics. The prize honors the best publication in the DGLM’s official journal Photonics & Lasers in Medicine from the years 2014/2015 and is endowed with € 1000.
In order to be considered for the 2016 Pater Leander Fischer Prize, the English language manuscript, which preferably describes original work in areas relating to technical and scientific research, and also clinical applications of lasers and photonics in medicine, must be submitted online via http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/plm by October 31, 2015, at the very latest, to ensure that the paper will appear – either in print or online – in 2015. As the prize is awarded biannually, manuscripts received after this deadline will be considered for the 2018 award.
The winner will be selected on the basis of the scientific quality and originality of the work by the award committee which is made up of the four editors-in-chief of Photonics & Lasers in Medicine, the Vice President of the DGLM, PD Dr. Raphaela Waidelich, and the DGLM Treasurer, Prof. Dr. Diethelm Wallwiener.
The exact modalities of the awards ceremony will be made public by separate notice at a later date.
We are looking forward a wide range of original and interesting contributions.
Our best regards,
Dr. F. Frank
Dr. L. Lilge
Dr. C.M. Philipp
Dr. R. Sroka
