To the Editor,
We would like to share ideas on “Cardiotocographic features in COVID-19 infected pregnant women [1].” Sinaci et al. proposed that “Maternal COVID-19 infection can cause changes that can be observed in … in the baseline is the most obvious change [1].” In this study, “CTG traces were observed comparing the hospital admission with the third day of positivity.” This finding is contrast to a previous study that the change was associated with cytokine storm in mother [2]. The observed CTG in this report might or might not reflect effect of COVID-19. Without previous data of CTG before infection, it is hard to finally conclude that clinical association. In addition, it is difficult to clarify the exact data of infection since different case might be admitted at different day of infection and the first detection, positivity, might also be different.
