Louise Cummings: Pragmatic disorders

  • Vahid Parvaresh is Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Isfahan, Iran. His areas of interest include L1 and L2 pragmatics and intercultural communication. His recent publications include “About his friend, how good he is, ‘and this and that’: General extenders in native Persian and non-native English discourse” (Journal of Pragmatics), “Conversational disclaimers in Persian” (Journal of Pragmatics), and “Vaguely speaking in Persian” (Discourse Processes), among others.
