Interculturalism, multiculturalism, and intercultural studies: Questioning definitions and repositioning strategies

Clara Sarmento , PhD in Portuguese Culture, is the coordinator of the Centre for Intercultural Studies of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto where she is a tenured professor and the director of the Master in Specialized Translation. She is the recipient of the American Club of Lisbon Award for Academic Merit and of the Coimbra's University Award for Young Social Scientists. Research interests: Anglo-American and Portuguese Literature and Culture, Cultural and Intercultural Studies, and Gender Studies
