Abstract
We look back on the significant contribution that the late Christie Davies made to the International Summer School and Symposium on Humour and Laughter over a period of seventeen years, and present reminiscences about him from some past participants in this event.
Note
The Advisory Board of the International Summer School and Symposium on Humour and Laughter was founded in 2004 to oversee the organising of this annual event, including the selection of host institutions. It is chaired by the founder of the Summer School, Willibald Ruch, with the other members being drawn from the past organisers of the school. Currently, they are Josianne Boutonnet, Liisi Laineste, Tracey Platt, Julia Rayz and Graeme Ritchie.
