Abstract

We correct a heavy misprint in our paper.

In the formulation of key technical Theorem 3.10, item (1) in [1] the words “f.g.” (finitely generated) are missed. The proof and the usage of this theorem for the main theorem of the paper supposes this restriction (i.e. this is just a misprint).

But this small misprint caused heavy consequences: an incorrect usage of this statement by inattentive readers caused incorrect proofs in their papers (e.g. [2] in the wreath products part). Also, to our knowledge, similar problems were detected by competent referees several times.

The correct formulation is as follows:

Theorem 3.10.

Suppose, the extension (3) satisfies the following conditions:

  1. H is RP f.g.;

  2. G / H is FC f.g.

Then G has RP(ϕ).
