Drahomíra Springer graduated at the University of Chemical Technology, majoring in Biochemistry in 1985. She has worked at the Institute of Medical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine of the General University Hospital in Prague since 1985. Her area of interest is above all pregnancy, screening of chromosomal aberration and thyroid disease in pregnancy. Since 1999 she has been Assistant Professor at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University Prague. She is author of more than 20 articles and co-author of six chapters in books.
, Eliska Potlukova
Eliska Potlukova, MD, PhD (1977)

Eliska Potlukova graduated from the First Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University in Prague in 2001. During studies, she spent 6 months at the Yale School of Medicine (USA). After graduation, she worked and studied for more than 2 years at the University Hospital Basel in Switzerland. Since 2004, she has been working at the Third Department of Medicine of the General University Hospital in Prague as teacher, scientist and physician (internal medicine, endocrinology).
, Zdenka Limanova
Zdenka Limanova, MD, CSc. (1938)

Zdenka Limanova graduated and is currently an Associate Professor at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, Prague. She works at the Third Department of Medicine of the General University Hospital in Prague. Her area of interest is above all thyroid disorders. At the beginning of the 1970s, she introduced and pushed through the wide use of fine-needle aspiration biopsy and cytology. In recent years she has dedicated herself to the issue of thyroid disease in pregnancy and advocates universal screening of the functional thyroid disorders in pregnancy. She is the author of over 180 specialist articles, as well as the author and co-author of several monographs. She is a member Committee of the Czech Endocrinology Society.
and Tomas Zima
Prof. Tomas ZIMA, MD, DSc. (1966)

Prof. Tomas graduated at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, Prague in 1990 and has been Professor of Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry from 2001 and Head of Institute of Medical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine from 1999. Since 2005, he has been the Dean of the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University. His main research interests include oxidative stress, AGE’s, experimental nephrology, tumour markers, and laboratory management and accreditation. He is author of more than 300 articles, author of five books and co-author of 56 chapters in books. He is the Editor in Chief of Folia Biologica and Addictology. Prof. Zima has been a member in many learned societies and their Boards (e.g., Executive Board EFCC and president of Czech Society of Clinical Biochemistry).
