Abstract

P.Lund I 4, first published in 1935, contains lines from an unknown comedy, doubtfully attributed to Menander in the ed.pr.; P. Carlsb. inv. 50, published in 1977, preserves verses from a comedy possibly by Menander or Apollodorus of Carystus. According to my re-examination, the two fragments belong to the same bookroll. In this paper I will discuss this joint, together with a new reconstruction of the comedy scene preserved by P.Lund I 4 and some new readings.
