About this book

This is the fourth and last volume in the sub-series of commentaries on Early Greek Epic Fragments (EGEF IV). It contains introduction, text, translation, and commentary on the Persika by Choirilos of Samos. Three other volumes have been already published by De Gruyter (EGEF I: Genealogical and Antiquarian Epic, 2017; EGEF II: Epics on Herakles: Kreophylos and Peisandros, 2022; EGEF III: Herakleia by Panyassis of Halikarnassos and the Theseis, 2024). This sub-series within TCSV aims to provide scholars and students with up-to-date commentaries on the extant fragments of early Greek that have not received, contrary to Cyclic epic, the attention they deserve.
