About this book

During his first term in office, Donald Trump failed to implement his revolutionary foreign policy agenda. To provide a plausible explanation for the multifaceted nature of Trump’s foreign policy achievements and shortcomings, this book brings together leadership trait analysis and bureaucratic politics to develop a model that frames their interactions and mutual influence.

  • Presents a unique and innovative analytical model.
  • Explores an under-investigated area in the study of Trump’s foreign policy.
  • Rich empirical section with several case studies.
