This chapter is in the book Hybrid Information Systems

Abstract

Internet of things (IoT) devices and their inclusion in other networks may make communication vulnerable to security, leading to leakage and loss of data. IoT is one of the important instruments to get the data and process the data on time, which cannot be avoided though many compromised IoT protocols make the entire system unsafe. Blockchain is one of the useful technologies that can provide security to the entire system in a decentralized way and can be used for IoT devices and networks to provide required safeguards. So, we have used blockchain-based technology to enhance security for unsafe IoT devices and networks.
