The study takes up the recent Heidegger controversy which has been set off by Victor Farias' book »Heidegger et le nazisme« (1987). Silvio Vietta shows with the help of so far unpublished material that Martin Heidegger - after a period of support for the ruling powers in 1933 - did dissociate himself from the National Socialist movement since 1936.
