About this book

AutomationML ist eine flexible objektorientierte Modellierungssprache und ein Dateiformat für den Austausch von Daten zwischen Softwarewerkzeugen. Es wurde ursprünglich für die Domäne der Automatisierungstechnik entwickelt, beispielsweise für den Austausch von vernetzten Anlagentopologien, digitalen Produktkatalogen, Geräte konfigurationen, Geometriemodellen, Kommunikationssystemen usw. AutomationML ist Teil der Normungsroadmap Industrie 4.0 und wird z.B. für die Modellierung von Teilmodellen der Verwaltungsschale verwendet.

AutomationML ist ebenso für beliebige andere Anwendungen einsetzbar: z.B. zur Digitalisierung und zum Austausch von Adress- oder Kochbüchern, Behörden-, Gesundheits- oder Vereinsdaten, für Anwendungen in Raumfahrt oder Energieversorgung u.v.m. Als hersteller unabhängige neutrale Datenmodellierungssprache bietet AML mehr Funktionen und Lösungen, als allgemein bekannt ist. Dieses Buch soll zur Verbreitung dieses Wissens beitragen. Die Zeit ist reif für ein Lehrbuch, das AutomationML und seine versteckten Fähigkeiten systematisch erklärt.

Dieses Buch ist wie eine Vorlesung konzipiert. Anhand vieler praktischer Übungen und mehr als 280 Illustrationen wird AutomationML schrittweise eingeführt und praktisch geübt. Falls in der Klausur die Anwendung von AutomationML im Vordergrund steht, ist dieses Buch in der Prüfung im Sinne einer Open-Book-Prüfung als erlaubtes Hilfsmittel empfehlenswert.
