About this book

So far, there has only been fragmentary research conducted into the impact that Stefan George’s oeuvre has had on German literature. This study examines how George’s texts have been adopted and adapted from the beginnings to the present. Aspects of impact and reception aesthetics intersect in the process, although the focus is on presenting, analyzing, and contextualizing the witnesses to George’s impact.
