Abstract

This article deals with two demotic limestone fragments belonging to the collections of the Egyptian Museum, Cairo and coming from the site of Nagʿ El-Mashaykh.1 These two documents could be dated to the early Ptolemaic Period and represent temple documents. Both texts unveil pieces of evidence concerning priestly activities and remarkable scribal practices.
