A Glimpse on the Site of Nagʿ El-Mashaykh through two Demotic Texts

Abstract
This article deals with two demotic limestone fragments belonging to the collections of the Egyptian Museum, Cairo and coming from the site of Nagʿ El-Mashaykh.1 These two documents could be dated to the early Ptolemaic Period and represent temple documents. Both texts unveil pieces of evidence concerning priestly activities and remarkable scribal practices.
