About this book
This book examines the central role played by a group of Catholic fascist intellectuals around Germanist Guido Manacordas (1879–1965). Thanks to their closeness to Mussolini, they had a major influence on the domains of education, propaganda, and science. Manacorda has the dubious historical credit of serving as the "Duce’s" spokesman at multiple audiences with Hitler from 1935 to 1937, paving the way to Italy’s alliance with the Third Reich.
