About this book
Recently, the German Science Council has affirmed the centrality of the public university system as a place to study and teach about Christian and non-Christian theologies. At this time, there is an active process under way to integrate Jewish and Islamic theologies into the German university system. This volume examines the tensions that can arise between confessional theology and the university tradition of freedom of thought.
