About this book
This bibliography aims serve the demands and wishes of students of Old Frisian for its own sake as well as for those who want to use Old Frisian for comparative purposes. Although it concentrates on language and literature, titles have also been included which deal with more or less peripheral matters such as Ingvaeonic, history, legal history and daily life in Medieval Frisia.
The bibliography is divided into three parts. Part I lists in alphabetical order all the books and articles. Part II alphabetically indexes the reviewers occurring in Part I. Part III contains an analytical index to Part I, enabling scholars to survey what work has been done on a particular subject.

Reviews
Prof Dr. Alfred Bammesberger:
For decades, research in Old Frisian has been very active, but in the neighbouring branches of Old English and the remaining West Germanic languages Old Frisian does not play the role it deserves. This is largely due to the fact that the scattered material is hard to trace down. Bremmer's careful bibliography should bring new vigour to the investigation of Old Frisian; above all, it will draw the attention of scholars to the work carried out so far in this field.
