Abstract

The use of the Companion could have broad learning benefits. For example, cenabling learners to have control over their projects of learning could potentially lead to improved level of self efficacy beliefs (Kim and Balyor, 2006), cimproved IT skills or a general confidence to try new things. We believe that this broader view of the benefits of such a Companion makes the positive cimplications outweigh the negative.
