About this book
Prämiert mit dem Walter-Witzenmann Preis
Hegel held Aristotle in the greatest esteem, and he especially admired Aristotle’s metaphysics of mind, as is evident in Hegel’s notion of the absolute idea and that of the absolute mind. Dangel undertakes a first comprehensive and systematic historical analysis of the ways in which Hegel drew upon Aristotle. The study is focused on exploring the extent to which Hegel’s metaphysics of mind may have been prefigured in Aristotle’s works.
