The crystal structures of Na2TiF6 and Na2SiF6

Abstract

The structures of Na2TiF6 and Na2SiF6 were redetermined (R = 0.036, 0.029). The space group C2 was found instead of trigonal symmetry. Measurements on twinned crystals and powder showed the coexistence of different pseudotrigonal phases.
