Abstract
The subject of the article are the oldest works on the subject of lexicography. Its origins go back to the 1630s and originate from a tradition of multilingual dictionaries in which Latin was the leading (or initial language). In the mid-17th century the first German-Polish-Latin dictionary was published and towards the end of the 17th century the first German-Polish dictionary in which Latin was not included.
