The Structure of Lithiumiodide 3-Tetrahydrofuran

Abstract

LiI-3THF was obtained from the reaction of tmp2AH (tmp = tetramethylpiperidino) with Li-AsHPh in toluene/THF. It is more, conveniently prepared from LiH and iodine in THF. It forms molecule in the lattice, the Li ion being tetracoor-dinated in a slightly distorted tetrahedral fashion.
