Mariya Shcherbyna
Mariya Shcherbyna is Associate Professor in Gender Studies at Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University and JTWIA Research Fellow at Politecnico di Torino. She has published widely on gender studies, women’s history, and feminist epistemologies. She co-authored the volumeFeminist Perspectives on Russia’s War in Ukraine: Hear Our Voices (Lexington Books, 2024). She has also served as an expert for the Anti-Discrimination Commission of the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science. Her research focuses on gender inequalities in STEMM, HerStory and myth, war-induced shifts in women’s identities and practices, and the persistence of gender stereotypes in academic and public discourse.
