Poland under German Occupation, 1939-1945 explores questions of Polish-Jewish life that are rarely discussed and new methodological directions to advance debates on the complicity of Polish citizens during the mass murder of Jews under the nation’s Nazi occupation.

Jonathan Huener is Professor of History, Leonard and Carolyn Miller Distinguished Professor of Holocaust Studies, and Director of the Carolyn and Leonard Miller Center for Holocaust Studies at the University of Vermont.

Andrea Löw is Deputy Director of the Center for Holocaust Studies at the Institute for Contemporary History, Munich, and teaches at the University of Mannheim. In 2022 she was the J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Senior Scholar in Residence at the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
