notesIntroductionNicholas Goodrick-Clarke (1998) sees the inroad of esoteric themes in today’s neo-Nazism as a link between fascism, radical environmentalism, and the New Age, return-ing to the theme in Goodrick-Clarke (2002), in which he includes a section on racistpaganism after having read the manuscript forGodsoftheBlood.Joscelyn Godwin (1996)discusses occultism and paganism in modern national socialism. Jeffrey Kaplan (1997)includes a full chapter on Asatrú/Odinism and returns briefly to the subject in KaplanandWeinberg(1998).SomestudiesofcontemporarypaganismdomentionracistNorserevivalism (Adler 1986) or include American material in studies of racial heathens inBritain (Harvey 1997).Forananalysisofglobalizationandthesurgeofnationalistactivities,seeHettne,Sörlin,and Östergård 1998.Outofwhich188weremembersoftheUnitedNations(‘‘UnitedNationsMemberStates’’2000).A good introduction to the cultural impact of the fast food industry is Eric Schlosser’sFastFoodNation:TheDarkSideoftheAll-AmericanMeal,2002.For a brilliant discussion of the global logo web and the transnational corporations’invasion of individual and public space, see Naomi Klein’sNoLogo,2000.Buchanan, speech 2000a.Buchanan, speech 2000b.Chamberlain belonged to the inner circle at Bayreuth and was married to Wagner’sdaughter.Continuingtheracistrevisionismof historyinthetraditionofArthurdeGobi-neau, Chamberlain made his contribution by targeting the Jewish people as the agentsof Aryan degeneracy.This suggested a remedy that the Nationalsozialistische DeutscheArbeiterpartei (nsdap) would later try in practice.The first German Theosophical Society was founded in 1884. Organizationally frag-mented, Theosophy experienced a boom with the first German translation of HelenaBlavatsky’sSecretDoctrinein 1901. Eachrootracehassevensubracesthatinturnhavesevenbranchracesthatmaysubdividefurther into various tribes depending on karma.
